Design Week 2008

Introduction

Design Week is an intense experiance that is calculated to determine your ability to function as a member of a design team. You are expected to contribute to the team effort, but not to attempt to dominate other members of the team. Your efforts will be judged by a panel of staff and Gary Jenno who is coming up especially from Bosch (who are sponsoring the assignment) and by the other team members. The judgement criteria will be concerned with the way the outcome is achieved, as well as the outcome itself.

The Brief

The focus of the design brief provided by us by Bosch Lawn and Garden Equipment based in Stowmarket is as follows:

"New garden tools which make maintaining and improving the garden and outdoor environment supremely effortless. The focus should be on cordless tools - maybe also focus on mobility - focus ideally on new applications for electric garden tools."

The product should use Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) batteries as its poweer source.
